Do long tube headers stick out below the car very far?

Do long tube headers stick out below the car very far? If so, how much ground clearance do you lose? I'd like to see a picture of a sideway view of the underside of the car, from a viewpoint level with the bottom of the side trim beneath the doors.

I'm a long time away from getting headers, but I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere on here.

First I am sorry I don't have the picture you asked. On the other hand look at these two. You can see the entire assembly and its relationship to the lift point from the front and the rear which should give you a better idea of where Kooks with catted down tubes would sit. It appears they do extend down a bit in the front but not any lower than many other vital components.

Our headers are tucked up as tight as we can make them. All header manufacturers only have so much room to fit the four tubes-we have about 1/2 to 3/4" of clearance between the highest point of the header/converter/lead pipe assembly and the bottom of the car. Any tighter and they would rub, bang, etc. on the bottom of the floor-any claims that one header brand will tuck up a few inches tighter than ours is not true.

If you have any questions, please email or call us @ 800-878-3635.

thanks

I have Kook's lt's and my car is lowered about 1 1/2" and i've yet to scrape the collectors on anything yet. I don't think it will be a problem for you.

OK... thanks guys

OK... thanks guys.

I shouldn't have to worry about it then. I don't plan on lowering my car anyway. I was mostly worried about speed bumps. I have to go over two in my parking lot at work every weekday.

My SW hang down slightly but it is never a concern for me so I guess it's not bad.
