Listen troll, I just criticized a fellow goat owner for making a generalized statement about Mustang owners that was uncalled for, not to mention condemning a behavior that he himself was guilty of.
Then you come along with that huge run-on sentence that gave me a splitting migraine.
You have not contributed anything worthwhile to this forum and nobody cares what you say.

Blah...blah.....blah......
Then monarocountry came along with his mathematical equations blah, blah. Geez, at least some people have some class on this board and can tell the difference from someone defending their brand versus a troll.

Are you the only one that can criticize someone on this forum? Since you did speak up I guess that eliminates anyone with a Mustang from criticizing.

Really? Am I the only one? Anyone else you'd like to bring to attention of the class?
nobody cares what you say
Got a rise out of you ace. Appears someone
does care.

Free country last time I checked although liberals are doing everything they can to change that. This aint Russia the last time I checked.
I didn't put down a GTO or any GTO owner. Tell me what's the real problem with me being on this board?
Sygoat, it's been my daily driver since I picked it up. It just rolled over 42k miles. Next spring it will be a race only car. I've already installed a six point roll cage in it, rear seat delete and Recaro Speed seats. It has close to 150 passes down drag strips. Since I was one of the first to get one I was one of the first to start modding. With just exhaust I wanted more pull so I installed 4.10's. At the time nobody was even selling pulleys for the 03 as advertised. Little did we know at the time that a Lightning pulley would work. Then I started adding pulleys and I started crossing the line well over 7k rpm so I dropped down to a 3.90 gear. I was at 480 rwhp and 530 rwt running 18 psi on the Eaton. The best pass was a 11.39@122 with a 1.52 sixty foot in the middle of a 100 degree day carrying a full tank of pump gas at FFW in Richmond with the stock, unported Eaton. The car will go deep into the 10's now with the Kenne Bell next spring. This February I'll put 3.55's back in it along with a better clutch.
Thanks TRAMS_AM. I'll drop in once and awhile. I reread my last post and I was pretty ****y. I was just trying to break a few balls. I guess I got a little offended by all the hate. I apologise to the real car enthusiasts on this board.
Mikeyboy, I didn't say it would be their equal but it will be close. It looks more and more like the next generation Cobra will get the Ford GT engine probably running a little less boost. I think the difference between the new Z and the next gen Cobra will be as it is today, about .5 seconds on the 1/4 but I think the handling gap will be reduced. The blower on the GT is a Whipple twin screw so owners won't have to cough up $5k to put on their Cobra like the 03/04 owners do today. Plus with 5.4 ltrs., a 90 dollar pulley will put these things near 700 rwhp with the right tune. The Ford GT is rated 550 HP at the crank but they are dynoing 550 at the rear wheels. I think it will take one hell of a Z car to beat it. Not saying it won't/can't. Personally, I think the new Cobra will get the same engine with the same boost so they can run with the Z on a drag. There is a guy on a Ford board that sayd he has inside information and he says it will be a real screamer. I don't know of anything else Ford could put in it. John Coletti is on record when asked if they were going to put the new Ford GT engines in any other vehicles and he aksed the guy, "You don't think we built that engine for one car do you?". From your sig and your Z running 10's, it all boils down to who has the money and knowledge. If you run at enough big tracks you will know damned well you are not that fast unless you are one of the few like one of my buddies. He runs all old school Camaros and he's setting track records everywhere he goes. He runs low 4's in the 1/8 and has beaten Billy Glidden. I first met him when he started dynoing my 03. He didn't know anything about the new 03's and he flipped out as much as someone can over my puny power compared to his 2000 HP cars. He's one of the nicest dudes I've ever met and now he's a friend.
The 03 Cobra engine is a great engine stock but anyone can build one. I'm surely not going down to buy a new Cobra just for the engine anymore. I'll build my next one for a '93 notchback.
